Coventry - The Final Holiday

Coventry and the Cotswolds coach tour in October 2021 was not just the last holiday I would go with Dad on, but the last holiday he would go on before he passed away a few months later. Thus, I have wanted to do two things with this book. One is, of course, to describe the holiday in detail, using my diary, what paperwork of Dad's survived, a mixture of his and my photographs, and my memories of that week. The other aim is to set that holiday in its place in our lives, for which purpose I have included events in the month before, and the months after, the holiday. Dad's diaries did survive somewhere from the last few years of his life, but I have not seen them since we did the clearance of his flat. I presume I may have them somewhere, but despite an exhaustive search have not come across them. It would have been nice to have included his perspective on the days out in the coach.
