1988

1988 was a momentous year in my life. I completed my time in the Upper Sixth, gaining good enough grades to get into my first choice university. The long Summer was June to October was spent largely working in manual labouring jobs through an agency. I had my 18th birthday, began writing a fantasy novel, and went with the family on holiday to Scotland. In the October I started at Royal Holloway, in the first year of my university life, doing a B.A. (Hons) in History. This record is comprised of extracts from my Mum's diary, my Dad's logbook for the motorhome, a few entries from my own diary, together with story extracts, poems, letters and a plethora of photographs. My own journals, written extensively in exercise books, are completely missing for the year. Memories and anecdotes fill in where extant sources do not.
